I write about science, the natural world and the human experience
My journalism delves into science’s quest for knowledge and how it often intersects with policy, culture, history and livelihoods. My work has appeared in Scientific American, National Geographic, Nautilus, Science, Audubon, Live Science, Inverse, among other outlets.
I have a bachelor’s degree in environmental biology, and I hold master’s in science, health and environmental reporting from New York University. I’m also an author of a bird field guide, occasionally write on Substack and used to take a lot more photos.
