I’m a science writer from Canada, now based in Brooklyn, New York.
I write about science, the natural world and the human experience
My journalism covers science’s quest for knowledge and how it often intersects with policy, culture, history, and livelihoods. My work has appeared in Scientific American, National Geographic, Nautilus, Science, Audubon, Live Science, Inverse, among other outlets.
I have a bachelor’s degree in environmental biology. and hold a master’s in science, health and environmental reporting from New York University. I’m also an author of a bird field guide, occasionally write on Substack, and used to take a lot more photos.
